Internet is a global WAN that connects approximately 1 million computer network organizations in more than 200 countries, on every continent, including Antarctica, as well as play a role in the routine activities of more than 2 billion people. Intranet is a network that uses Internet protocols so that users can take advantage of a variety of frequently used applications. Intranet supports search, communication and collaboration within an organization. Extranet, intranet connecting part of the different organizations (between organizations). Extranet allows business partners to communicate securely over the Internet by using virtual private networks (VPN).
Internet service provider (ISP), is a company that offers Internet connection for a fee. An example of a fairly large ISP is America Online (www.aol.com), Juno (www.juno.com), Earthlink (www.earthlink.com) and NetZero (www.netzero.net). Each device is a computer on the Internet, have each address called, Internet Protocol (IP) address. IP addresses consist of a number that is divided into 4 (four) parts, and are separated by a dot. For example, 135.62.128.91.

World Wide Web (WWW or W3), is a universal standard system that can store, call, formatting and display information through client / server architecture. Organizations that wish to provide information via the web, must build a homepage. Home page, consisting of text and graphics are welcome users and provide basic information about the organization. A collection of web pages, called the website. A person who is responsible for the website of a company called Webmaster. To access the website, the user must specify the uniform resource locator (URL). URL is the address of a specific resource on the Internet. Users access the web, through a software application called browser.
