Intelligent system

information system that can take decisions by itself. The term intelligent systems describe various commercial applications of artifical intelligence. Artificial intelligence (AI), a subfield of computer science that studies the way humans think with, and recreate the effects of the process through the machine, such as computers and robots. The main goal of AI is to build machines that can mimic human intelligence. Alan Turing created a test to determine whether the computer has the intellect as well as human behavior, which is called the Turing test.

Expert System

Expert System is a computer system that aims to mimic human expertise by applying expertise in a particular domain. This system can play a supportive role as a decision or the decision-makers directly. Transfer the expertise of an expert to the computer and then to the user, associated with 4 the following activities:
  1. Knowledge acquisition. The knowledge acquired from the domain expert or from documented sources.
  2. Knowledge representation. Acquire knowledge, arranged as a rule or framework (object-oriented) and stored electronically in the knowledge base.
  3. Knowledge inferencing. Computers are programmed so as to make conclusions based on the knowledge that is stored.
  4. Knowledge transfer. Experts "inference", provide recommendations to users.

  • Inference engine, a computer program that provides a methodology for consideration and formulation of conclusions.
